One of the first things you'll learn on our course is spray pattern. Knowing how to spray the object using an even side to side motion that remains steady and allows you to build colour on the surface by covering the object in multiple thin coats with a fine spray of paint is important.
The multiple coats will allow you to change the object to just about any color that you wish, and it will ensure you don't use too much paint when operating the spray gun.

You'll need to use masking tape tarps, or a drop cloth to cover areas that might be affected, and you should always try to remove the object your painting from its original area for the best protection where possible.
Really, delivering a professional finish is about knowing how to get a smooth finish in a way that protects the surrounding areas using your spray gun. That means mindful spraying, and extreme caution.
